Gang Members in Long-Term Plan to Steal from Companies

The Abu Dhabi Police arrested the remaining suspects in the seven-member gang called the "Nocturnal Bandits.” The other five members were arrested at the beginning of last week. The two new members, 26-year-old I.A. and 22-year-old Sh. B., both truck drivers, confessed their involvement in the gang. Theft operations carried out by the gang over the past two months amounted to AED 2 million in stolen items.

Interrogations with the Pakistani gang revealed that its members had a long-term plan to target a long list of companies. They made the list based on information they received while dealing with these companies. As of tomorrow, Sunday, the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate will begin implementing penalties to motorcycles wrong overtaking in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.  The penalties include a week-long impounding of the motorbike; a fine of Dh200, and adding 3 black points to the driving license. This measure comes in line with the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ priority to make roads safer, and in keeping with the Directorate’s road safety strategy and procedures to reduce traffic accidents causes.

Enables Layout without Multi-Layer PCB for Cost Saving

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO:6502) today announced that it has expanded its package line-up of interface-converter bridge LSIs for high resolution LCD display that are used in tablet PC, Ultrabooks™ and other applications. Mass production of "TC358778XBG" is scheduled to start in June, followed by "TC358777XBG" in July.

The ball pitch of the original product is 0.4mm, and fine pitch assembly equipment is required for production. Expanding the ball pitch from 0.4mm to 0.65mm achieves assembly with no need for such equipment. Toshiba has also optimized the pin assignment for layout without high cost PCB with more than 4 layers.

Those new package products reduce the set makers' cost of assembly and materials.

The Al Ain Civil Defense teams managed to put out a fire that broke out in three warehouses at a business compound in Al Khrair area. The fire completely engulfed the warehouses and their contents to ashes. Yet, no injuries or casualties were reported.

In detail, Lt. Col. Rashid Hamar Ain Al Darmaki, Director of Al Ain Civil Defense Department in Al Ain stated that the Operations Room received notification at around 2:48 pm. Firefighting and rescue vehicles rushed from the Civil Defense and rapid Intervention Centers at Al Zahira, Al Sinaiya, Zakher Station, and Al Aqabiyah Station to the site of the incident. Firefighting teams began working to contain the blaze, with the support of firefighters from the various Civil Defense Centers in the City of Al Ain.
