Al Khaili Urges Naturalization & Residency Members to Commit to Genuine Social Values

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Port Affairs, delivered a lecture on instilling the concept of genuine social values to the employees of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports sector. He explained how these values, which should stem from Emirati and Islamic traditions, support the strategic values of the Ministry of Interior that represent justice, human rights, creativity and excellence. He urged employees to translate these values on the ground in order to improve public satisfaction and trust, and deliver high-quality services to customers.

General directors, heads of departments, and a large number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and individuals working as trainees at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports sector attended the lecture. The lecture aims to instill concepts of leadership and excellence.

At the beginning of the lecture, Major General Al Khaili stressed the importance of this meeting that gathers employees to discuss major topics as one team. He said that this event brought together leaders and subordinates to empower communication and collaboration among them, in order to augment performance and ultimately improve work to deliver distinguished services to the public.

He discussed methods of communication and contact along with other relevant topics such as quality, excellence, knowledge and change. He also tackled the means of work along with its obstacles, which need to be removed. He stressed the importance of enhancing the positive aspects of work. "In order to increase the opportunity for improvement, leaders and subordinates should meet to discuss the latest developments and avoid mistakes. We should also focus on performance in order to achieve the strategic goals of the sector,” he explained.

The Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Port Affairs also discussed national identity and Emirati values. He said that UAE society enjoys its national identity and historical values that are inherited from the fathers of the country who worked to implant these values into their children. He stressed that police members in general, and the Naturalization, Residency and Ports members in particular, should enjoy a common attitude towards its national identity and security, in order to maintain the homeland’s security and stability.

He said that members of the police and the Naturalization, Residency and Ports sector should follow righteous behavior, work as one team, carry out their missions to the fullest, work with transparency and honesty, perform procedures and duties following regulations, and follow the instructions that they receive from their superiors without laxity in order to bring positive impacts to themselves, their institution, and society.

The lecture reflects the strategy of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector, which aims to be one of the most distinguished sectors at the Ministry of Interior and to achieve its vision to make the UAE the best country in the world in terms of security and safety
