The Arab Interior Ministers Council wrapped up its 31st conference in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.

The United Arab Emirates’ delegation headed by Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, took part in the conference, which kicked off on Wednesday March 12, 2014, under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

HM the King sent a message to the Arab Interior Ministers Council, read on his behalf by Morocco's Minister of Interior Mohammed Hasad, who chaired the conference’s sessions.

The Al Ain Traffic Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, confiscated 147 driving licenses and cancelled one license last February. According to the traffic laws, police officers were then forced to confiscate the licenses.   

Major Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Chief of the Al Ain Traffic Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, explained that one of the reasons why they took the driving licenses was because the drivers reached the limit of 24 traffic points.
