As part of the celebrations of the 30th GCC Traffic Week, the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police took part in a traffic awareness day that was organized by the Cognitive Intellectual Section at the Abu Dhabi Center for Care and Rehabilitation for People with Special Needs. The program aims to enhance traffic education and culture among the center’s students.
Captain Aisha Mohammed Al Zaabi, Traffic Awareness Officer at the Public Relations Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, noted that the directorate participated in the celebration by setting up a special traffic pavilion where traffic coloring books and various gifts were distributed to students.
Moreover, she stressed that the directorate devotes great attention to people with special needs, through the traffic awareness plan organized within the "Plants of Hope” initiative that was launched by Abu Dhabi Police. She also pointed out that the directorate provides these people with the necessary support and assistance to help them overcome their disability in its various forms and activate their role in society as productive and active individuals who have equal opportunities to develop their talents and achieve their aspirations in various fields of life, just like other individuals.
