Coinciding with its Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band performed on Sunday evening its authentic traditional music pieces at the Sultan bin Zayed School-Cycle 3 in Al Ain Education Zone.
The audience enjoyed watching the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band’s performances and listening to its musical pieces, which were highly acclaimed during the morning parade. The music band presented a number of its distinguished songs starting with the National Anthem, Allah Ya Dar Zayed, and Yal Emirati. The participation is in pursuance with the Abu Dhabi Police’s Music Band’s program to perform its national and popular musical pieces in the public schools of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region.
Mohammed Amine Abdullah Al Zarouni, Director of Sultan bin Zayed School praised the Abu Dhabi Police’s ongoing dedication to keep pace with events in society. Al Zarouni also praised the distinguished musical and military performances of the band, which were highly applauded by teachers, supervisors and students.
"During this event, various ideas and proposals were submitted to strengthen joint cooperation between the Police Music Band and the school, with a view to promote and develop musical and military culture, as well as patriotism among students,” noted Al Zarouni.
The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band was established in July 1963, and currently offers national and traditional music for the public throughout October 2013, coinciding with its Golden Jubilee celebrations. The Abu Dhabi Police’s participation reflects its commitment to participate in various societal events stemming from its strong belief in the importance of music in people's lives and the need to instill heritage values.
