Dalma Mall, one of the largest shopping centers of Abu Dhabi, concluded its wide range of cultural and entertainment activities launched on November 28th to mark the 46th National Day of the United Arab Emirates. During the celebrations, the mall witnessed a vast influx of visitors who enjoyed the fun-filled activities, entertainment shows, performances, Live music, competitions & prizes.
Targeted at all members of the family, the celebrations also included a live music concert by the Emirati singer Hamdan Al Bloshi, who presented as many of his foot-tapping, high-energy songs during the 3 hour long show. Hamdan impressed the audience with his voice and in particular his new song “Edhak” which sparked a tremendous interaction from youngsters, especially Emiratis.
The mall organized an interesting 2-day activation of UAE’s national anthem singing competition – “Sing it with Pride”, scored on a scale of 100, for their passionate and perfect signing, synchronized to lyrics & digital soundtrack. Huge number of young participants from across different nationalities queued-up to deliver the UAE National Anthem “Ishy Biladi" evoking sensation and winning Dalma Mall Gift vouchers worth AED 1500, AED 1000, AED 500 for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd highest scoring respectively, for each of the competition days. Consolation prizes for 6 participants worth AED 200 each were also given away, for the next best competitive scores. The mall across the 2 days resonated with the UAE National Anthem sung over 200 times, by the participants.
Dalma Mall also presented an authentic and enjoyable Emirati experience in its mini Heritage Village that included a variety of exhibits and activities, including fine art, handicrafts, henna painting, Arabic calligraphy, traditional weaving, a falcon keeper, and other distinctive activities that reflected the rich culture and heritage of the UAE. A Kid’s Activity Corner provided ongoing educational entertainment that gave children the opportunity to participate in new activities to test their creative and logical abilities, develop their imagination, develop their fine motor skills, and enhance their self-confidence, among others.
Dressed in their national uniform, the Emirati Bagpipers Band toured the entire mall and presented a collection of beautiful melodies. Dalma Mall also organized an art exhibition for some Emirati artists titled "Memory of UAE".
