The games of the 7th Self-Defense Tournament, organized by the Police Sports Association at the Ministry of Interior and held in cooperation with the Dubai Police General Headquarters, will commence tomorrow morning, Tuesday, at the Dubai Police Academy. Participants from several police academies, colleges and schools nationwide will be taking part in the tournament and competing in the Taekwondo and Karate competitions.
“The Police Sports Association organizes such tournaments in line with its strategy to promulgate self-defense competitions and games in order to activate sports clubs at the level of the Ministry,” Colonel Aref Ali Al Rayes, Acting Head of the Police Sports Association at the Ministry of Interior said. “These competitions additionally enhance the physical abilities of our security personnel alongside equipping them with the security and policing sciences.”
