(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Two highly experienced quality professionals were honoured recently for their excellent contributions to the quality profession in the United Arab Emirates.

Souraj Salah, Ph.D., Dubai, and Rana Nabulsi, Ph.D., Abu Dhabi, were named winners of the inaugural ASQ UAE Quality Professionals Awards, which recognises excellent contributions among quality professionals in the UAE.

The winners were honoured in Dubai at a ceremony held under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of International Co-operation and Development.

The award is a joint initiative between the Department of Economic Development in Dubai and ASQ.

Salah has sustained a track record of implementing improvement projects designed to increase performance. He is extremely knowledgeable of a wide-range of quality and excellence frameworks.

Nabulsi has contributed greatly to quality, especially in the health care industry by providing leadership in community services.
