Two separate fires erupted in Al Ain industrial facilities on Monday, and were swiftly controlled and extinguished by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense and Rapid Intervention teams. There are no reported injuries from either incident.
According to Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Director General of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, the Operations Room received the first report regarding a fire in a carpentry workshop, warehouse, and shops at 2:59 am. The Operations Room received the second report at 10:30 am about a fire in an auto repair garage and supermarket. He also noted that 11 Civil Defense and Rapid Intervention stations responded to both fires and prevented the fires from escalating and spreading to nearby shops. Investigations to determine the cause of the fires are still under way.
Lt. Colonel Al Ansari urges commercial and industrial business owners to adhere to the prevention and safety requirements for warehouses, factories, and engineering companies. Such steps are necessary in order to prevent fires from occurring, to maintain lives and properties, and to point to areas that require further precautionary procedures and measures.
