Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Monday, August 10th 2015 [ME NewsWire]
The Al Ain Police Directorate has recently arrested two men of Asian nationality for robbing apartments and singles housing in Al Ain.
Colonel Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, stated that the Al Ain Police had recently received several reports regarding late-night robberies and the theft of valuables and money from various apartments and singles housing locations in Al Ain.
According to Col. Al Rashidi, an investigations team was formed in order to identify and capture the culprits responsible for the burglaries. “The efforts of the team led to the identification and whereabouts of the suspects in record time,” he said. “After acquiring the legal permits, the team then raided the home of the suspected thieves, arrested the suspects, and confiscated the stolen goods.” The suspects were questioned prior to being handed over to public prosecutors.
Col. Al Rashidi called upon homeowners to take the necessary preventative safety measures, and to not leave any incentive for weak minded individuals to steal anything, like leaving doors unlocked. He stressed the importance of not leaving any valuables out in the open and to place them in a secure place. He urged the public to take part in the protection process, and to provide police agencies with information to ensure their safety and the safety of their belongings.
