The Department of Community Police at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized a medical education forum, in cooperation with Al Ahli Hospital, in Al Musaffah area in Abu Dhabi, at Al Musaffah Comprehensive Police Station. As a part of the forum, medical tests were carried out to measure blood sugar levels, blood pressure, as well as eye exams and a spirometry test, which is a diagnostic breathing test for smokers. The hospital’s medical staff also gave an awareness lecture to the police station’s staff members about healthy eating and weight maintenance.
The event was attended by Major Saeed Al Rashidi, Head of Operations at Al Musaffah Comprehensive Police Station and Captain Ali Salem Al Sa’ari, Acting Manager of the Community Police Branch at the police station.
Captain Al Sa’ari said that this medical event is a first of its kind to be organized by the community police. He stressed the importance of communicating with partners and promoting the bonds of cooperation with the various segments of society.
