The Abu Dhabi Police’s Women’s Team was crowned champion of the HH President of the UAE’s Taekwondo Tournament Cup, which concluded on Friday at Al Ahli Club’s Hall in Dubai at the end of the 2014/2015 sports season. The women’s team players dedicated the cup to Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The Abu Dhabi Police’s Women’s Taekwondo Team won 8 gold medals and defeated the Al Wahda Club with a score of 5/0.
At the end of the championship, Duaij Al Raissi, Vice President of the UAE Taekwondo and Karate Federation, honored the Abu Dhabi Police for their support to sports and contributing efforts to ensure the success of the 2014/2015 sports season. The honoring also included Mohammad Ali Halboub, the Abu Dhabi Police’s Women’s Team’s coach.
It is worth mentioning that the Abu Dhabi Police’s Women’s Taekwondo Team came in first place during this season in the UAE’s Taekwondo Open Tournament, which included participation of private clubs and an elite group of foreign female players and was held in Dubai last February.
