Participants enrolled in the Distinguished Competencies Program at the Ministry of Interior carried out a field visit to review the operational projects, initiatives and plans at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments sector. The visit is a part of the program’s set of activities, designed to provide participants with extensive expertise and knowledge across the various sectors at the MoI.
Colonel Dr. Yusuf Rashed Al Hamidi, Head of Policies and Standards Department at the Directorate General of Correctional and Punitive Establishments briefed the participants on the organizational structure and strategic plans of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments sector. He reiterated the importance of the programs designed to boost the skills and competencies of human resource and their role in promoting police work.
It is worth mentioning that the Distinguished Competencies Program at the MoI, supervised by the Leadership Development and Creativity Center at the General Secretariat of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, is designed to prepare the promising future abilities of staff members. It also reflects the ministry’s keenness to continue implementing unique quality programs, which are centered on enhancing police performance, to support the bid to maintain excellence in customer service and improve performance indicators.
