The Academic Track – Showcased the launch of Internship for Entrepreneurship program in collaboration with Bader Young Entrepreneurs Program and Darwazah Center for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at AUB. Professional athlete Michael Haddad gave an inspirational speech about his outstanding achievements despite his physical disability caused by a Jet Ski accident, in collaboration with the Lebanese American University who uses myRIO to study and model his movements.

Winner of GSD Musabaka, an embedded systems design contest for the innovators of tomorrow was announced. The award went to the team from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore, Pakistan.
National Instruments/NI, the provider of test and measurements systems that enable engineers and scientists to solve the world’s greatest engineering challenges, hosted the 10th Annual Graphical System Design Conference: NI Days 2015’ today. The event which is the annual technical conference and exhibition for engineers and scientists involved in measurement, automation and embedded design, was attended by more than 250 educators and researchers, industry experts
The participants had a chance to learn about recent software upgrades, including NI LabVIEW, emerging hardware platforms, industry applications, latest technology trends such as Internet of things (IoT) and Industry 4.0, advanced research in latest topics such as 5G, big physics, renewable energy & others; and solutions to improve performance while saving time, money and enhancing flexibility.

The internship for entrepreneurship program in collaboration with Bader and Darwazah was launched under NI’s academic track at the event. The track also covered hearings and learnings on how to enable students to ‘Do Engineering’ and to ensure that they are equipped to solve the engineering challenges of tomorrow. Under the patronage of the Lebanese Ministry of Industry, the industrial track included topics on condition monitoring, power and software-designed instrumentation in addition to projects being implemented locally.
The event was successful in highlighting the key technology trends in the Lebanon market and also provided a platform to the engineers and students to connect and discuss the primary engineering challenges to create a better tomorrow.
