As Part of the Abu Dhabi Reads 2015 Campaign

Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior dedicated 1,000 copies of the Police Encyclopedia to the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) to be distributed on schools libraries in Abu Dhabi. This step falls within the framework of the Abu Dhabi Reads 2015 Campaign that aims to spread the culture of purposeful reading, and transforming it into a lifestyle to enable community segments, especially students, to gain knowledge acquiring skills.
Her Excellency Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi, Director General of ADEC expressed utmost gratitude to H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed for his unlimited support for the council’s educational activities. She also praised this generous gesture and applauded the cultural value that the Police Encyclopedia would add to the schools libraries in Abu Dhabi. The great value of the encyclopedia stems from its education-oriented cultural and scientific content, in addition to the basis that the ADEC strive to instill in new generations. The Police Encyclopedia enriches the educational resources at schools, as it represents a significant educational, cultural and scientific value.
She also noted that one of the most important gains that the Abu Dhabi Reads Campaign has realized was strengthening partnership and cooperation between the ADEC and the various institutions at the governmental and private sectors. She also pointed out to the importance of the contributions of the Ministry of Interior in educating the students by organizing awareness campaigns, lectures, and activities throughout the year. The Police Encyclopedia crowns the mutual efforts between both authorities as it represents a quantum leap in strengthening security culture of our students. This will foster patriotism values and protect the achievements of the nation.
For his part, Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior stressed on the Ministry’s commitment to expanding the knowledge culture of the new generation. He said that this is executed by enriching libraries with purposeful publications that relate to the values of work, devotion, and loyalty, and by raising the new generation awareness about their role in building the civilized future of the UAE. He noted that future generations can achieve this by being open towards all cultures while maintaining the genuine values of the Emirati society and utilizing the cultural heritage as a launching point towards new horizons.
He also noted that the Abu Dhabi Reads Campaign aligns with the objectives of the Ministry of Interior of spreading positive principles and equipping the generation with knowledge. The campaign also represents the vision of the Ministry of Interior of spreading security culture and educating the public about it.
It is worth mentioning that the Police Encyclopedia that addresses the new generation and students includes summaries on the specializations and tasks of the Abu Dhabi Police departments. It also highlights the role of these departments and its work mechanisms that work collectively as one team on fostering the security and stability in society. It also provides security advice on the sound behavior in emergencies or crimes and accidents.
