The Ministry of Interior discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation with the Federal Customs Authority during the meeting of the Joint Higher Committee, which was held at the Sharjah Police General Headquarters
The meeting, which was chaired by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, addressed a number of topics listed on the agenda alongside ways to enhance coordination and cooperation in various fields between the two parties. Both entities discussed the approaches to coordinate risk management at the customs departments and to exchange knowledge through training courses and organizational excellence.
The meeting comes in line with the ongoing cooperation and mutual collaboration to establish and exchange commercial and customs security-related practices between the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Customs Authority and the local customs departments, as the Authority is the Ministry’s main partners in this regard.
The meeting was attended by: Brigadier Saif Mohammad Al Ziri, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Khaled Ali Al Boustany, Acting Director General of the Federal Customs Authority; local custom department heads from across the UAE; and a number of officers from the Ministry of Interior and police general headquarters from across the country.
