Traffic Safety Lecture at the Security Support Department

The Traffic Institute of the Al Ain Police Directorate organized an awareness-raising lecture on traffic safety, under the theme “Organizing Traffic”. The lecture, held in coordination with the Public Relations Department of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, took place at the Security Support Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.

In his speech, Captain Salem Al Ketbi, Head of Training at the Traffic Institute Section, gave an overview of the different topics on the agenda, notably acquainting attendees with road traffic safety and traffic rules and the different technical systems used in traffic safety; in addition to safe driving tips, such as the need to pay attention to road turns and how to maneuver around obstacles. He also highlighted the importance of traffic engineering and its impact on traffic safety.

A number of staff members from the Security Support Department at Abu Dhabi Police attended the lecture, which comes in line with the social communication strategy to provide guidance to drivers and road users, and aims at disseminating and promoting traffic safety culture in the community, to boost road safety awareness and reduce traffic-related accidents.
