Saif bin Zayed Reviews Federal Demographic Structure Council Projects

HH Praises the Efforts of the Nations’ Sons and Daughters and Inspects the New Headquarters

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Head of the Federal Demographic Structure Council (FDSC), reviewed the Council’s projects during his visit to the new headquarters in Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

During his visit, HH Sheikh Saif was accompanied by Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; and a number of officers and staff members of the Ministry.

His Highness was received by Advisor Rashid Salim Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretariat General of the Federal Demographic Council, general secretariats and the employees; and viewed a presentation regarding the integrated databases drafted and produced by the Council. The databases are a result of the Council’s continuous efforts in collecting primary data from data sourcing authorities over a time span of several months. In accordance with the best scientific methods, the data was then processed and revised to reveal the latest properties of population demographics in terms of social, educational, behavioral, and economic characteristics. The demographic findings support key decision-makers through the provision and identification of vital trends and characteristics in demographic science and studies.

During the course of the meeting, HH Sheikh Saif viewed the programs underway in the Strategy and Communication Sector, which include plans to upgrade the national demographic strategy.

His Highness additionally reviewed the projects of the Demographics Sector, as it works in accordance with the latest standards, as well as the projects of the Research and Policies Sector.

His Highness Sheikh Saif expressed his utmost confidence in the sons and daughters of the UAE, and for the projects that are being developed and implemented by the FDSC. He urged all employees to continue their work with the same perseverance and zeal, and to redouble their efforts and challenge themselves with every new project.

The visit also included access to the facilities and divisions of the FDSC, where His Highness toured the state-of-the-art Computer Department and Data Center, and the Nursery, which was created to care for the children of the Council’s employees.

Upon the conclusion of the visit, Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, took commemorative pictures with the staff of the FDSC.

It is noteworthy that the Council’s working group is comprised of a group of promising young males and females, who are working hard to achieve the progressive and well-deserved aspirations of the government.

It should also be noted that the Council has made significant contributions of scientific research in the field of demographics; of which have subsequently ushered forth several distinguished policies to the Cabinet in order to take the necessary action. The policies have come as a direct result of the collaborative efforts from the concerned authorities and cooperation with strategic partners.
