Tejari to manage LIWA Trading Enterprises’ eTendering and Vendor Management processes
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, February 24th 2015 [ME NewsWire]
Strategic sourcing company Tejari has announced the signing of a two year agreement with Abu Dhabi-based conglomerate, LIWA Trading Enterprises.
The retail arm of Al Nasser Holdings, LIWA Trading Enterprises operates numerous franchise/sub-franchise agreements with international fashion and speciality product brands across the GCC.
Under the agreement Tejari will implement a ‘best of breed’ application to streamline the corporation’s eProcurement, eTendering and Vendor Management processes.
Tejari’s proprietary application facilitates and streamlines all sourcing and vendor management, transforming an organisation’s procurement capability. Supplier selection and prequalification tools allow the application to reduce the duration of tender evaluation cycles, and procurement efficiencies can be leveraged simply by highlighting common spend categories.
The application aims to deliver improvements throughout the organisation across four key areas: financial, quality, learning & growth, and efficiency. Cost reductions for leveraged spend are typically in the region of 10—15 per cent, while savings can also be maximised across value and volume transactions. Enhanced compliance, control and data integrity improves governance and provides clear records for auditing, and defines new ways of working. Most critically for LIWA Trading Enterprises, the application delivers tangible efficiencies, simplifying the purchasing process, eliminating duplicate activities, and significantly shortening the evaluation cycle times.
Commenting on the agreement, Abhishek Bajpai, Chief Operating Officer of LIWA Trading Enterprises said: “This initiative is helping us improve our tendering, procurement and vendor management processes in line with LIWA’s overall objectives towards achieving operational excellence. The online negotiation tools that are available to us stimulate competition amongst bidders and ultimately generate additional cost savings to LIWA.”
“All departments using this solution across the company are committed to driving best practices and cost savings through the eProcurement Portal” Mr. Bajpai added.
Asif Khan, [General Manager] of Tejari said: “Streamlining the procurement process is a critical driver for competitiveness in the region. Tejari is proud to assist LIWA Trading Enterprises in optimising their procurement performance by supplying our ‘best of breed’ application, fully supported by our comprehensive professional services.”
Tejari will play a key role in the implementation of the application, providing end-user training and support to LIWA Trading Enterprises to ensure the successful adoption of the platform across the conglomerate.
