(BUSINESS WIRE) - Panasonic Corporation announced today that it has received the Zayed Future Energy Prize 2015, an award established by the United Arab Emirates government and managed by Masdar, for the Large Corporation category.
His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, presented the Zayed Future Energy Prize Large Corporation award to Yoshihiko Yamada, Executive Vice President and member of the board of Panasonic Corporation at the awards ceremony held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE, on January 19, 2015.
The Zayed Future Energy Prize, inaugurated in 2008, recognizes leading solutions in renewable energy and sustainability and represents the vision of the late founding father and the first President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who championed environmental stewardship and sustainability.
