ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, December 22nd 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The Directorate General of Civil Defense calls upon all families who are leaving the country to spend the holidays abroad to make sure they’ve turned off electrical switches and avoid leaving their devices on, in order to maintain the safety of their houses and others during their absence.
This address which will be made tomorrow Tuesday by Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Civil Defense Acting General Commander-in-Chief over the radio, comes in line with the ‘Security Glances’ campaign organized by the Radio Branch at the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
During his address, Al Matroushi will call upon families for the need to ensure turning off all the lights and closing both internal and external doors very well to prevent the entrance of individuals with bad intentions who take advantage of holidays to steal items from houses.
It is worth noting that all service departments’ directors at the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) will take part in the campaign by personally providing advice and guidance to listeners, each according to his/her specialization. This would enhance confidence and lend credibility and transparency to the campaign’s coveted goals and outcomes.
