Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Head of the Permanent Higher Commission for Internal Security, attended the ‘Golden Leaders’ workshop and training exercise in the field of crisis and disaster management. The workshop, organized by the Permanent Higher Committee for Internal Security at the Officers Club of the Dubai Police, is part of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy.
HE Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Police and General Security, delivered a lecture during the workshop, highlighting the best practices to upgrade the skills and competencies of leaders, to inform them of the best practices, and to provide them with the necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to deal with crisis management.
Lt. General Al Sha’far praised the high level of preparation of the workshop, and of the important topics covered that enriched the experiences of the participants, informing them of the latest scientific and practical developments in police work. “The workshop acquainted the leaders with the best field practices, which supports the initiative to develop the capabilities of the leaders overall,” he said.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Lt. General Al Sha’far, accompanied by HE Lt. General Tamim, distributed the certificates to the participants, wishing them luck and success.
The workshop was attended by Major General Humaid Al Hadidi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director General of Protective Security in the Ministry of Interior; Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Civil Defense Acting General Commander-in-Chief; Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ; Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police; Brigadier Ali Abdullah Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police; Brigadier Rashid Bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Commander-in-Chief of Umm Al Quwain Police; Brigadier Mohammed Al Nubi Mohammed, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police; along with director generals and their deputies at the Ministry of Interior.
It is worth mentioning that the Permanent Higher Committee for Internal Security convened at the MoI as pursuant to the Ministerial Decree No. (102) for 2009 which concerns the formation of the Permanent Higher Committee at the ministry. The committee is formed by members from the Civil Defense, police leaders, and directors across the country and aims to discuss all means to enhance cooperation in the field of internal security between police departments in the UAE.
