The Ministry of Interior (MoI) concluded the exams conducted to select the second round of candidates for the Creativity Development Program on Thursday. The program was organized by the Leadership Development and Creativity Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and lasted for two weeks in order to choose the top 20 candidates to enroll in the second program sponsoring creative individuals.
Lt. Colonel Saif Hamid Al Dir’e, Director of the Leadership Development and Creativity Center, indicated that the program aims to achieve the ministry’s strategic objectives. The project additionally implements the standards of institutional excellence and supports through sponsoring and developing creative individuals, and through nurturing creative competition amongst employees at the ministry.
Lt. Colonel Al Dir’e stressed the keenness of the UAE government to care for the quality of life for the UAE community; in line with the MoI’s strategy to focus on developing a conducive and stimulating environment for creativity and excellence in services, and increase customer satisfaction in accordance with the highest international standards.
The exams were conducted under the supervision of the Competency Assessment Section at the Leadership Development and Creativity Center at the ministry, and included the measurement of mental abilities, personal features, and creative thinking skills.
The program included training and empowerment applications for creative individuals, via specialized courses in the fields of developing and building creative capacities. The program also provided meetings with police and academic leaders within the various police sectors; field visits; as well as experience exchanges with local and international organizations and partners of the ministry in the field of creativity.
Upon the completion of the training program, the creative individuals present their innovative projects and ideas related to the MoI’s strategic plan 2014-2016. Following their presentations, these individuals become accredited members of the Creativity Club and join the ranks of the graduates of the first sponsored program for creative employees.
The selection of the eligible individuals to enter the exams was based on their developmental proposals and ideas, and on their participation in the Director General Award within the suggestions system as implemented by the MoI.
