Al Raisi: 'Taweya' is an Opportunity to Introduce MOI Services

Visitors Flock to Abu Dhabi Traffic’s Exhibit

According to Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, ‘Taweya’, the National Show for Society Awareness and Humanitarian Services, provides the police institution with an opportunity to acquaint citizens and residents alike with their provided services and enhance customer satisfaction and community partnership. ‘Taweya’ additionally offers opportunities to develop and improve performance indicators. “The participation of the Ministry of Interior embodies the vision and goal of communicating and interacting with individuals and societal segments who work,” he said.

“Individuals should leverage the outreach program offered by the ministry through the exhibition, particularly in regards to the importance of preserving passports against damage, loss, or identity theft; as passports are one of the most important documents used. Renewing residency visas for domestic workers sponsored by Emiratis should not be delayed in order to avoid penalties and late fees,” Major General Al Raisi said. He continued by referring to the quick and streamlined process of customer service within the ministry that is in place in order to make things easier for the customer and to save them time and effort.

The exhibition of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police, organized by the directorate in coordination with the Saaed Society to Reduce Traffic Accidents, witnessed an influx of visitors in which the directorate highlighted the efforts that have been exerted in order to raise awareness about traffic accidents that may result in death and severe injuries.

For his part, Lt. Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri, Chief of Public Relations Section in the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, Abu Dhabi Police, highlighted that this participation falls within the framework and priority of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to make roads safer. The participation additionally supports the strategy of the Abu Dhabi Police to adopt a comprehensive plan for traffic awareness.

Lt. Colonel Al Ameri reported that the directorate’s participation aimed to enhance communication with the public and introduce them to the traffic laws and the efforts undertaken by the directorate in terms of traffic awareness. The directorate also distributed traffic-related brochures and gifts at their exhibition.

He explained that Traffic Directorate’s exhibition included the introduction to the recently launched Smart Towers Project, which aims to implement smart cabins as an important step to support the ongoing communication with drivers via the large electronic boards located along the external roads of Abu Dhabi. Additionally, the project designed to catch motorists who run red lights, speed, and misuse designated lanes was also highlighted.

The directorate also sought to introduce the public to the efforts of “Together”, the Abu Dhabi Traffic program to reduce traffic accidents, through Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. By using the social media sites, many segments of society were able to contribute and share their views on the issue of traffic safety.
