ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, October 2nd 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police called upon the motorist to avoid parking their vehicles randomly near slaughterhouses, to avoid obstructing traffic.
Captain Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Traffic Control Branch Manager at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate, explained that the directorate will intensify its patrols around slaughterhouses as of the first days of the blessed Eid Al Adha, to ensure a smooth traffic flow and reduce traffic jam, to allow the public easy access to the slaughterhouses to make their sacrificial slaughters.
Captain Al Qubaisi urged motorists to park their vehicles properly, to be able to enter and exit the slaughterhouse easily, and without any hindrance or delays caused by traffic. He stressed the importance of adhering to the instructions of traffic officers that oversee and organize traffic around the slaughterhouses during the slaughtering from sunrise till nightfall.
Captain Al Qubaisi said that, as a part of the “Your Safety” campaign launched by Abu Dhabi Police, to provide safety during the Eid Holidays, the Traffic and Patrols Directorate has intensified traffic patrols around intersections and malls to streamline traffic around such places that witness a high turnout during the holidays.
He urged motorists, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, to adhere to the designated legal speed limits on internal and external roads, to leave a sufficient safe distance between vehicles, avoid being distracted by phones while driving, pay attention to potential road surprises, avoid jumping red traffic lights and to ensure the safety of the vehicle’s tires.
