The Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has announced the visiting hours for inmates of Al Ain, Al Wathba and Al Razeen Sections and the Juveniles Care Center during Eid Al Adha holidays. Visits will resume after the holidays in accordance with the regular schedule, while the holiday visit schedule will be applied as of next Friday.
Colonel Mohammed Saif Matar Al Zaabi, Director of the Punitive & Correctional Establishments, noted that foreign male visitors will be able to visit inmates (all cases except drugs) on Friday (the Day of Arafah), October 3 between 8 am and 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm for drug-related cases.
He also noted that Saturday, October 1 (The first day of Eid Al Adha) will be dedicated for Arab male visitors, between 8 am and 1 pm for all cases except drugs, and between 3 pm and 5 pm for drug-related cases.
In a related context, Colonel Al Zaabi said that female visitors will be able to visit inmates (all cases except drugs) on Sunday, October 5 (the second day of Eid) between 8 am and 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm for drug-related cases.
He also noted that Monday, October 6 (The third day of Eid) will be dedicated for female visitors, between 8 am and 1 pm for all cases except drugs, and between 3 pm and 5 pm for drug-related cases.
As for the visit schedules for inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments in Al Razeen Section, he indicated that visiting hours will begin from 8 am to 1 pm for wards according to the specified schedule. He pointed out that visitation hours will resume according to the regular schedule after days of Eid, and all visitors are required to bring their IDs.
Moreover, Saturday, October 4 (the first day of Eid) will be dedicated for individuals and lawyers visiting inmates of ward 3, while Sunday October 5 (the second day of Eid) will be dedicated for inmates of wards 2 and 4; Monday, October 6 (the third day of Eid) for inmates at wards 5 and 9; Tuesday, October 7 (the fourth day of Eid) for inmates at wards 8 and 10; Wednesday, October 8 (the fifth day of Eid) for inmates at ward 1; and Thursday, October 9 (the sixth day of Eid) will be dedicated for inmates at ward 7.
As for the visits to the Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center, Al Zaabi explained that all Edi days will be dedicated for female and male visitors wishing to visiting any category of juvenile and females inmates from 8 am to 6 pm.
