The Capital Police Directorate football team was crowned Super Cup Champion after defeating the Higher Education Team 2-0. The match was part of the championship organized by the Government Institutions Sports Federation between the previous season Pro-League champion and the Super Cup champion.

Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director of the Capital Police Directorate, praised the prestigious achievement made by the team at the beginning of the sports season. "This indicates a high level of preparedness achieved by the team and would reflect positively on their upcoming participation in this year’s tournaments," Brigadier Al Shareefi said.

Adding further, Brigadier Al Shareefi noted that the Capital Police Directorate Football Team has already made countless achievements and successes that serve the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s objectives to interact with community members by all means, including sports. He also stressed the directorate’s commitment to continuously support the team in their quest to achieve additional titles and accolades and distinguished performance.

Brigadier Al Shareefi congratulated the team manager, First Lieutenant Fahed Al Ameri, and the administrative staff for winning the Government Institutions League Super Cup. The Sports Committee Chairman lauded the support provided to the team by the police leadership; and pledged to work continuously to achieve further sport achievements during the current and upcoming seasons.

It is worth mentioning that the Capital Police Directorate Football team defeated the Higher Education Team at the Super Cup final match that was organized by the Government Institutions Sports Federation between the previous season Pro-League champion and the Super Cup champion.

Ahmad Al Mazroui, Government Institutions Sports Federation Vice Chairman of the Board and General Secretary, awarded the Capital Police Directorate Football Team members with the gold medals, and presented the Championship Cup to First Lieutenant Fahed Al Ameri, Sports committee Chairman.
