Ali Al Mulla Council Recommends Promoting the Cultural and Social Role of Clubs

Commending The Ministry of Interior’s Keenness to Spread the Sublime Message of the Councils in the Community

The Ministry of Interior’s Ramadan Council hosted by businessman Ali Muhammed Al Mulla in his home in Fujairah recommended enriching the educational curriculums with principles and traditions of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) society making them the protective fort of the country. The Council recommended establishing a Social Intellectual Security Fund at the UAE level, where a portion of the country’s budget would be allocated for this fund for the sake of children of coming generations.

Organized by the Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and held under the title: “United in Responsibility: Social Security Network,” the council noted the role of media in highlighting the traditions of the Emirati family making it a role model, and spreading the moderate non-extreme proper Islamic teachings that are derived from the Holy Quran and the life and sayings of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him (Al Sunnah). The moderate teachings have a great positive role in creating an educated generation that is socially and intellectually secured.

The participants in the council called for establishing a TV channel that is concerned with preserving the Emirati culture and its traditions that are derived from the tolerant teachings of Islam and the authentic and genuine Arab traditions and customs. They called for producing exiting educational TV shows for current generations similar to the shows that were produced in the past such as: Al Manahel, Open Sesame and Greeting Mom and Dad. They also called for establishing (Al Furjan Councils) where children are sent to learn from elder citizens, noting the old traditional saying that states: (Councils are Schools).

The Council also stressed the importance of fostering the cultural and social role of the clubs currently available in the UAE. The participants said that the clubs’ role must extend beyond the sport of football. They also called for establishing a nation-wide award that recognizes the personalities that record high attendance in social and public spheres in the UAE. This award will represent an incentive for the youth to maintain this good habit. The family institution also can play a role by educating children about the importance of identifying a goal that they commit to achieve; the family can support their children to achieve this goal in order to create a sense of security between families and their children.

The Council witnessed that participation of Sheikh Hamdan Suroor Al Sharqi, form Abu Dhabi Investment Authority; Dr. Abdullah Al Sareji, from Ministry of Education; Khaled Muhammad Al Mulla, Director of School Health in Al Fujairah; Nasser Muhammad Al Yamahi, former member of UAE Football Association (UAEFA), Brigadier Mubarak bin Sinan, Director General of the Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Fujairah; Lt. Colonel Obeid Muhammad Al Moghni, From Social Support Centers at Abu Dhabi Police; Sultan Malih, from Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development; Major Saeed Al Humor, Director General of Special Operations in Al Fujairah; writer Majed Al Rai’si, Activist on Social Networks (Twitter); and Muhammad Al Mulla, Vice President of Al Fujairah Charity Association.

Businessman Ali Muhammad Al Mulla affirmed in his opening speech the importance of the Ramadan Councils that the MoI is organizing in order to deliver its sublime message to the public. “These Councils are a manifestation of the MoI vision in making the councils public houses,” Al Mulla said. He also explained that the visits that Their Highnesses pay to the citizens’ houses is a clear prove of social security (United in Destiny: We are the People of the Same Neighborhood.)

He pointed out to the pioneering idea behind the Ramadan Councils organized across the state in enhancing communication between citizens and decision-makers in the country, so as to allow citizens to submit their ideas on the topics that are being discussed transparently and openly.

He added that the Ramadan Councils Ramadan held during the holy month of Ramadan play a significantly vital and active role in establishing communication and amity between community members during the holy month. He also pointed out that these Councils reflect an original approach; and are deeply rooted in the country’s traditions and usages. They have always been a tool to reunite members of society of all ages and categories, to discuss topics related to community affairs in all areas.

The council was moderated by media personality Talal Al Hindasi. Participants in the council stressed that social security is the fence that protects the community from crises, and the recent turbulence in the world is best evidence on this.

They discussed the importance of social solidarity among the members of society, which strengthens the ties of love and harmony between all the segments of society; as well as the importance of honesty in dealing with children and talking to them. They also highlighted the importance of fighting rumors that need to be reduced through the guidance of fathers and mothers to their children and the importance of directing the media outlets in the country to be a role model since our children are much attached to watching media outlets and participating in social media networks.

They discussed the importance of students’ control in the UAE’s schools through enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Education and the competent authorities in the country. They tackled the matter of difference in mentality between the older generations and younger generations, the thing that requires effective solutions that will lead to understanding new mentalities.

They pointed out that the newly introduced compulsory drafting had a role in having the children hurry to register, which emphasizes their keenness on serving and paying the country back.

They discussed the impact of social networks (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) on youngsters, and the important role played by the family in protecting them through truthful dialogue and knowing what thoughts they have in their minds, lest they fall a pray to strangers with bad intentions.
