Five Ramadan Councils will be held Thursday evening in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Umm Al-Quwain. Organized by the Ministry of Interior’s Law Respect Culture Bureau in the General Secretary of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Ramadan Councils are a continuation of the councils launched in 2012 as an initiative by the ministry that aims to engage citizens in discussing topics that are of primary importance and interest to the public.
The first Ramadan Council, which will be a women’s council, will tackle the topic of “United in Responsibility: Our Culture and Domestic Laborers.” It will be hosted by Al Anoud bu Haroun, and will be moderated by media personality Rasha Al Shemmari.
The second Ramadan Council will be hosted by Hamad bin Ghalita Al Ghafli, Secretary of H.H. Ruler of Ajman. It will discuss the topic of “United in Destiny: Our Motto: The Home is United” and will be moderated by media personality Rashid Al Kharji. Moreover, Amnah Hamad Al Shamesi, member of the Cultural Development Board of Directors, Head of the Women’s Department, will host the third Ramadan Council, which will discuss “United in Knowledge: Education between Knowledge and Experience” and will be moderated by media personality Hessa Lootah.
The fourth Ramadan Council is to be hosted by the General Commander-in-Chief of Umm Al-Quwain Police and will address the topic of “United in Prosperity: Drugs...A Scourge that Ruins Lives” and will be moderated by media personality Abdullah Ismael. And the fifth Ramadan Council will tackle the topic of “Domestic Laborers: between Necessity and Gravity” and will be hosted by businessman Nasser Al Yamahi and moderated by media personality Faisal bin Huraiz, in the al-Shelela area, Abu Dhabi.
