While Meeting with the Police Attachés

During a meeting on Tuesday, Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior was briefed on the conditions of the overseas students, trainees and delegation members, as well as the various services provided to them by the Police Attachés. His Highness discussed these topics in his office with the Police Attachés of the UAE embassies in the USA, UK, France and Australia.
The Police Attachés briefed His Highness on the latest academic, educational and practical practices adopted by the international missions set in place to enhance coordination with strategic partners. They also highlighted the attaché offices’ efforts to achieve their goals of enhancing its stature and providing all logistical amenities necessary for the concerned individuals. His Highness reiterated his instructions on the need to provide sustained support in all aspects for the Ministry of Interior’s overseas delegation members, students and trainees.
His Highness also expressed his sincerest appreciation for the efforts of the UAE embassies’ attachés abroad, aimed at helping students and trainees overcome potential obstacles and facilitating their tasks and procedures needed to complete their tasks.
The meeting was attended by Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of the Office of HH the Minister; and Lieutenant Colonel Rasas Al Ameri, Deputy Director of the Department of Education at Abu Dhabi Police. The Police Attachés, representing the UAE’s various embassies abroad also attended the meeting, namely; Major Majed Al Ameri, Police Attaché from the UAE Embassy in Australia; Captain Khamis Al Muhairi, Police Attaché from the UAE Embassy in France; Captain Abdul Aziz Al Sharif, Police Attaché from the UAE Embassy in the United States; and Lt. Ahmed Al Shamesi, Assistant Police Attaché from the UAE Embassy in the United Kingdom.
In turn, the Police Attachés expressed their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Saif, stressing that without his trust and support, the Police Attaché’s Offices would not have been able to achieve their present stature and sustainable excellence they always strive to accomplish.
It is noteworthy that the Police Attaché’s Office provides supervision and academic support to the Ministry of Interior’s staff members in different disciplines and universities. The services of the Police Attaché’s Office also include an escort service for overseas students, delegation members and trainees assigned to official functions. The services also include the provision, follow-up and necessary support for patients sent abroad for treatment and their relatives, whereas the Police Attaché’s Offices represent the efficient arm of the police in major world capitals and cities.
