The Sharjah Air Wing Section at the Ministry of Interior recently organized a specialized training course on air ambulance and emergency air lift service from external roads. A total of 28 staff members from the Sharjah Police General Headquarters, the National Ambulance, and ‘SANID’ took part in the course.
The course included theoretical and practical lectures on how to operate a VTOL Helicopter. It also included a practical training on one of the external roads on how to deal with accidents, such as closing the road to traffic in order to arrange an improvised landing site for the emergency helicopter, as well as training on the means to tend to the injured and how to transport them into the air ambulance.
In conclusion, Lt Colonel Trainer Pilot Saif Salim Al Dah, Training Branch Manager at the Sharjah Air Wing Section, distributed certificates of attendance to the participants who attended the course.
