Community Police Department at Abu Dhabi Police provided a TV screen for the residents of Al Shamekha area in Abu Dhabi, to share their passion of watching the World Cup matches, at the Community Police Center in Al Shamekha. This initiative comes as an embodiment of the Abu Dhabi Police strategy to promote communication with sectors and members of society.
Major Yusuf Faraj, Head of Awareness Section at Community Police Department at Abu Dhabi Police, pointed to the importance of occupying the free times of youth with activities that are beneficial to them and to the community. He confirmed the keenness of Community Police to provide this social service to the residents of the area, as it was noted that residents are gathered around it in a social communication. This type of communication promotes closeness amongst members of the community, and achieves one of the most important goals of the Community Police in residential communities, to increase closeness and friendliness amongst the residents. This will gather them in a place close to where they live, especially that the matches last until the early hours of the morning.
He reassured the keenness of the Community Police to serve members of the community by providing social services and promoting the spirit of stability and security amongst the youth, by addressing their sports and social interests.
The display of the World Cup matches at the center will continue in a familial ambiance around the screen, where they can enjoy the matches and communicate with friends and neighbors and get to know them better. It also helps in promoting the relationship with the police, as an embodiment of the strategic priorities of Abu Dhabi Police.
