A delegation from the Legal Department at Abu Dhabi's National Consultative Council (NCC) recently reviewed the various functions undertaken by the Legal Affairs Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ).
To this end, Colonel Dr. Khalaf Saeed Al Shibli, Head of the Legal Affairs Department at Abu Dhabi Police, met with the delegation headed by Adviser Ismail Al Hosani, Legal Adviser at Abu Dhabi's National Consultative Council and Head of the Legal Department.
This visit falls under the mutual cooperation between both parties and aims at reviewing the workflow and different functions and exchanging expertise. It embodies Abu Dhabi Police's strategy that calls for enhancing the quality of services and establishing communication and interaction with relevant departments to enhance staff members' performance and hone their skills through modern and innovative means that keep pace with the requirements of the times.
Colonel Abdullah Ahmed Al Hosani, Chief of the Consulting and Legal Systems Section, gave a presentation about the department and its jurisdictions. He explained that the Legal Affairs Department endeavors to promote the goals, vision and mission of Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, spread the quality culture among its staff members and strategic partners and review these mechanisms to guarantee their safety and continuity.
During his presentation, Colonel Al Hosani indicated that the Legal Affairs Department, in addition to the tasks it undertakes, is in charge of preparing the strategic plans related to the legal affairs activities and oversees their implementation, based on Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters' strategy. It also provides consultations and legal studies in different cases related to Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters' activities; prepares answers to legal inquiries received from different police departments; drafting and reviewing draft laws, regulations, as well as ministerial and administrative decisions, in addition to reviewing contracts concluded with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ), providing legal counseling and undertaking the required procedures.
For his part, Adviser Ismail Al Hosani expressed the delegation's admiration of the significant efforts carried out by the Legal Affairs Department at Abu Dhabi Police to update work mechanisms and improve staff members’ performance. He also invited the Legal Affairs Department to visit the National Consultative Council (NCC), within the framework of enhanced cooperation and to exchange expertise
Towards the end of the visit, the delegation members toured all sections and branches of the Legal Affairs Department and were acquainted with their different duties and functions. Commemorative gifts and shields were then exchanged between both parties.
