The Al Ain Police Directorate carried out a successful mock drill to evacuate Al Muraba'a and Zakher Police Stations in the city of Al Ain. The drill aims at testing the efficiency of the security plans and hotel evacuation plans. It also aims to test the efficiency of the fire systems and assess the readiness of the security and safety team at the Comprehensive Police Stations to handle accidents and emergencies. The Civil Defense Department, Al Muraba’a and Zakher Police Stations, the Traffic and Patrols Department, the Emergency and Public Safety Department took part in the drill, along with the Investigation teams, the Crime Scene Unit and several support bodies. The participating teams arrived to the scene within six minutes and carried out the evacuation in record time. Things were then restored to normal at the Comprehensive Police Stations after the drill. Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate, noted that the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s strategy aims to enhance security, stability and public safety across all its facilities, according to elaborate scenarios and security plans, with a view to upgrade police work in accordance with the best international standards.
