The Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Interior reviewed and discussed a report on the achievements made by the Anti-human Trafficking Committee during the past months. The department also tackled the Ministry of Interior's participation in the training course that was recently held in the sisterly State of Kuwait, under the theme: “Security Officers and how to identify human trafficking cases”. The committee had recently held its second meeting, chaired by Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Nehkairah, Head of Human Rights Department, Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Committee, at the conference room at the department’s headquarters. During the meeting, attendees discussed a summarized report on the MoI's participation in the workshop on combating human trafficking, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A number of topics on the agenda related to combating human trafficking crimes were also discussed. The meeting was attended by Colonel Khamis Obaid Al Ka’bi, Deputy Chairman of the committee; Colonel Mohammed Al Shehhi, Deputy Director of the Human Rights Department; along with all members of the committee from the various Police General Headquarters at the countrywide level.
