Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Monday, May 12th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The Emergency and Public Safety Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters presented the idea of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (defibrillator device) during its participation in UAE University's 4th exhibition titled "Health, Nutrition and Fitness 2014" at Al Ain City. The exhibition was launched on Sunday and will continue until 15th of May.
A team from the Emergency and Public Safety Department briefed Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi Vice Chancellor of UAE University, the administrative and educational panel, students and visitors about the device and its uses. The Department installed this device in 18 different locations so far, as per Police Leadership's instructions to install it all over different public facilities visited by the public in all the country’s emirates.
The team explained that the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is used when there are symptoms of circulatory failure on a person with suspected heart failure. The symptoms include fainting, irregular breathing, weak or absent pulse, or the absence of circulatory activity indicators.
