Abu Dhabi Police Clinics started giving out green apples to patients and visitors, in a unique initiative aimed at promoting the health benefits of fresh and seasonal fruits, in terms of prevention, immunity, and other benefits for the human body.
Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi police, said that the police leadership strives for the best and beneficial outcomes. It keeps close tabs on the latest results of international medical researches and recently confirmed that green apples are an important source of energy and contain polyphenols that increase fat-burning. Apple skin contains antioxidants and “pectin”, which helps combat fluid retention and rid the body of toxic substances by supplying galacturonic acid.
