H.E. Mohammed Khalfan Matar Al Rumaithi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police reviewed yesterday, Sunday, the achievements of the General Directorate of Finance and Services, and its smart application, projects, and future development initiatives. The revision took place during a meeting he held with Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
H.E. the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police watched a documentary on the organizational structure and tasks of the General Directorate of Finance and Services, the specializations of the departments, the applied E-Systems and the present Smart Services development project. He also expressed his admiration regarding the current developmental achievements and projects, and praised the department heads’ excellence as it stems from teamwork that enhances the work march and achieves the desired development. This is accomplished as per the vision of the Smart Government aspirations. The Smart Government lays the foundation of achieving a quantum leap in providing governmental services, and works based on scientific and practical basics to utilize best international practices and experiences, develop the governmental work system, and foster the customers’ confidence in the services and their continuous development.
For his part, Major General Badran asserted the General Directorate of Finance and Services’ commitment to manifesting the directions of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in achieving the desired developmental aspirations, continuing the comprehensive development processes and assisting in enhancing the police services in all units and departments as per the best international advanced standards.
Furthermore, Major General Badran pointed that the General Directorate of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police is working based on a vision that focuses on developmental efforts in adherence to Abu Dhabi Police strategy. This aims to fulfill the efficiency and quality of the services that the police provide to the people. These efforts are also based on a scientific approach and adopt advanced initiatives.
In addition to that, Major General Badran explained that within the framework of the 2013-2017 Strategy, various visions were designated such as relying on the priority of “A Police Institution Managed Efficiently and Effectively,” and fulfilling the goal “Efficient Financial Management” which includes three strategic initiatives: applying power efficiency enhancing and saving program, developing and applying financial efficiency to support and develop customer service delivery, and increasing the level of consistency between expenditure and the strategic plan.
Major General Badran noted that the officers, non-commissioned officers, experts and civilian staff members of the General Directorate of Finance and Services are all working as one team within a comprehensive system, and on the basis of a precise mechanism for developing the work levels. This team also expresses the police leadership directions in removing the obstacles and keeping pace with the developments that the UAE is witnessing in all fields.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by Brigadier Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamesi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services and a number of department heads, section managers, and competent officers.
