The Al Ain Police Directorate launched a nationwide blood donation campaign at its headquarters. The campaign, organized in collaboration with the Regional Blood Bank at Tawam hospital and John Hopkins Medicine, witnessed a significant turnout from officers, civilians and female employees.
Colonel Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, Deputy Director of Al Ain Police Directorate stressed the importance of blood donation to provide sufficient quantities of blood for the sick and the needy, as well as for traffic accident victims and Thalassemia patients. “Blood donation is a noble humanitarian gesture, which strengthens communication with various departments, and with both government and private sector institutions, so as to serve the country”, added Al Rashisi.
The campaign covers a number of police stations and departments, including Al Jimi, Al Madina, Al Makam, Al Sina’iya, Al Sad, and Al Khazna; the Traffic and Patrols Section, the Medical Services Section; the Forensic Evidence Department; the Al Ain Security Inspection Section K9; the Police Courts; the VIP Protection Section; the Heavy Vehicles Licensing Section in Mazyad; the Mazyad, Khatam Al Shukla and Al Mudeef border points; the Social Support Center; the Community Police Department; and the Investigations Department.
