The Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department at Abu Dhabi Police was crowned champion of the Tug of War tournament. The Western Region Police Directorate came in second place, followed by the Traffic and Patrols Directorate in the third place.
Colonel Mohammed Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, said that such sports competitions highlight the physical strength, skills and stamina of policemen. He also noted that holding this tournament at the Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club reflects the police leadership’s keenness to share different sports activities and events with community members.
The Tug of War tournament is part of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ sports program, represented by the Strategy and Performance Development Department, Sports Activities Section. The three-day tournament was held in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club, and witnessed participation of 12 departments from the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and 120 players.
The Tug of War tournament was attended by Major Mohammed Al Falahi, Chief of the Sports Activities Section, and Captain Jamal Al Saadi, National Teams and Competitions Branch Manager at the Strategy and Performance Development Department of Abu Dhabi Police.
