The Operations Department at the General Directorate of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters recently completed a charter for organizational excellence, which was prepared by the Strategic Planning Branch at the department in order to keep track achievements, provide evidence through monthly reports, and achieve administrative objectives within the year’s plan.
Lt. Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Head of the Operations Department, praised the efforts exerted by the Strategic Planning Branch’s staff members and their keenness to embrace the proposed creative "Charter of Excellence” upon receiving the organizational excellence model from Major Issa Abdulla Al Marzouqi, Strategic Planning Branch Manager.
Moreover, Lt. Colonel Al Maskari said that the charter reflects the sense of belonging and loyalty among the branch’s staff members. He also pointed out that this experience will be fully deployed to include all sections and branches after holding the ‘RADAR 999 Model’ assessment sessions at the Excellence Laboratory.
"This model comes as a result of the Strategic Planning Branch staff members’ feelings of pride in institutional values implemented to achieve the desired goals. It has been designed to be compatible with the oath of loyalty and allegiance followed at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ,” said Major Al Marzouqi.
Abu Dhabi Police is always keen to motivate its staff members to exert further innovation and excellence in various work sectors, in line with its vision that is based on achieving the highest standards of quality and excellence. This approach aligns with the police leadership’s vision, which considers that ‘success means nothing if it is temporary’. This was achieved by implementing the principles of self-criticism and scrutiny, and attending several training programs, as well as keeping pace with all scientific and practical developments in various police tasks and duties, according to the best and advanced international standards.
It is worth mentioning that the idea and proposal of the charter was presented by First Sergeant Mohammed Malik Al Ameri and Corporal Tareq Al Ramahi, from the Strategic Planning Branch. It reflects their keenness to achieve Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s strategic goals and priorities.
