Brigadier Gaith Hassan Al Zaabi, Director General of the Traffic Coordination Department at the Ministry of Interior, honored officials and delegations from the GCC countries participating in the events organized for the 30thGCC Traffic Week, taking place under the slogan "Your Safety is Our Goal".
The honoring celebration, which was held at the Police Officers Club in Abu Dhabi, was attended by Colonel Khamis Ishaq Mohammed, Deputy Director of the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate; Colonel Nasser Ahmad Al Hosani, Chief of Federal Traffic Section at the Traffic Coordination Department and head of the work team responsible for the events of GCC Traffic Week; and Colonel Obeid Mohamed Al Zaabi, Chief of the Public Relations Section at the Public Relations Department, the Ministry of Interior.
Colonel Al Zaabi stressed the importance of increasing the exchange of information regarding successful GCC experiences in organizing traffic, exchanging mutual experiences to make roads safer, contributing in promoting and spreading educational messages, and believing in the importance of cooperation and partnership to improve security and safety for all drivers. He also wished them a good stay in the UAE.
Al Zaabi expressed the Ministry of Interior's keenness to organize exchange visits between traffic departments in these countries to increase expertise.
Heads of GCC delegations expressed happiness over this opportunity that allowed them to meet with officials from Traffic Departments in the UAE. They also thanked the Ministry of Interior for its invitation to participate in this week's events, in addition to their warm welcome, hospitality and reception.
