IEB, in Partnership with WSBI, Launches the First International Initiative to Build a More Responsible Financial System

    ‘Responsible Banking Challenge’ encourages professionals from the financial sector worldwide to send their proposals in order to improve banking practices.
    IEB is a Europe leading centre focused in financial formation that have a collaborative agreement with the London School of Economics (LSE) and Wharton School.

IEB, leading centre focused in financial formation, in partnership with WSBI (World Saving Banks Institute), has launched the first international initiative aimed to build a more responsible financial system: ‘Responsible Banking Challenge’.

The main objective is to encourage every financial professional to send their proposals in order to contribute with the development of a financial system more responsible with society, environment and world economy. This is an opportunity to build a more ethic system worldwide, where banking professionals are committed with social development.

Some of the fields where these proposals can be developed are, for example, financial integration (according to the World Bank, universal access to financial services contributes to poverty reduction); CSR activities; improvements in bank’s good governance strategy; financial entities good practices’ manual; or the creation of indicators able to evaluate the ethic and responsibility level of financial institutions.

The best initiative would obtain a scholarship to study the Master in Responsible Banking from IEB and WSBI, an English online course, taught in association with the London School of Economics Executive Education (LSE). The other selected candidates would be able to get a 30%-50% scholarship to study the course.

Furthermore, the MA alumni would receive during the course coaching sessions in order to put in practice the knowledge acquired during the lessons and improve their personal development, and would be part of a mentoring courses with professionals specialized in the field.

Financial professionals interested in taking part, would have to send their proposals to mrb@ieb.es before April 22th. If written format, would not exceed 1.500 words (4/5 pages) or 10 Power Point slides. If audiovisual format, would not exceed 3 to 5 minutes.
