ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, February 5th 2014
The Al Ain Police Directorate has received the prestigious Committed to Excellence (C2E) Certificate awarded by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). This marks the fitting culmination to the directorate’s efforts to achieve 3 development projects during 2013. These projects include the inspection and field visits to police stations and sections affiliated to the directorate; the management skills development program; and the plan to eradicate negative phenomena at Al Mabraza valley and Jebel Hafeet. Receiving this certificate marks another significant achievement to the directorate’s record of accomplishments, and reflects the unstinting support provided by the police leadership.
The aforementioned projects were launched based on the results of the self-assessment carried out by the directorate; a review and assessment of performance indicators using the RADAR methodology and empowerment of staff; and the delegation of authorities by assigning three teams to work on the projects. This aims to achieve positive results and attain the Police General Headquarters’ strategic objective of "a police organization that is efficiently and effectively managed.”
Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate, noted that receiving the EFQM "Committed to Excellence” Certificate embodies the directives set out by the police leadership to strive for excellence, out the firm belief that "Excellence is not a luxury; it is a national and moral duty”.
