The Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior organized the first ‘Family Forum’ for its employees. The event, which was held at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi hotel on Wednesday, is part of the department’s community-based initiatives to encourage communication among all of its employees.
Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadhi, Acting Head of the Public Relations Department, attended the forum, along with chiefs of sections, branch managers, officers and non-commissioned officers, female and civilian employees from the department.
Colonel Al Awadhi said: "The forum is vitally important to help achieving interaction and harmony among employees who represent one big family, and in encouraging them to work as one team to support the efforts to give a distinguished image of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior.”
"The first Family Forum is the department’s way to express its thanks and appreciation to its present and former employees. It is an acknowledgment of their efforts to carry out the tasks and duties entrusted to them to the fullest,” added Colonel Al Awadhi, urging employees to exert further effort to enhance performance to the highest levels. He also emphasized the department’s commitment to receive all employees wishing to present their ideas and proposals to improve work, and to identify problems and find proper solutions. In conclusion, he wished all attendees luck and success.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Al Samadi form the department gave a presentation showcasing the department’s achievements and performance indicators for the year 2013. The presentation also highlighted the department’s vision, mission, objectives and values, as well as its commitment to the quality and excellence policy, to provide distinguished services to the public, and its future projects and plans for 2014. A photo gallery showcasing the department’s achievements was also among the forum’s highlights.
At the end of the ceremony, Colonel Al Awadhi honored the retired Brigadier Mohammed Al Hajeri, in addition to the chiefs of sections and branch managers. He also honored the distinguished top achieving employees and officers of the departments’ various sections and branches, as well as the workers. The Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi hotel’s General Manager was also honored at the forum.
