ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, January 23rd 2014 [ME NewsWire]
A delegation from the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police visited media personality Tareq Al Hammadi who is recovering at the hospital, after he nearly suffocated into the TV studio during the live broadcast of the "Huna Abu Dhabi” (This is Abu Dhabi) TV show. The incident resulted from a technical failure in the fire suppression system, which led to a dangerous gas leak.
The delegation conveyed the Police Headquarters' greetings and wishes for a fast recovery to Al Hammadi. During the visit, the delegation engaged in a cordial exchange with Al Hammadi regarding his health condition and the incident’s circumstances.
Al Hammadi praised this nice gesture that helped improve his health and raise his spirits, while the delegation wished him a fast recovery.
It is important to note that this visit falls in line with Abu Dhabi Police's social role that aims to enhance the relations between the police force and members of society.
