The Higher Organizing Committee for the International Security, Safety and National Resilience Exhibition and Conference "ISNR 2014” reviewed the presentation submitted by Jack Morton Worldwide, global event planning agency, which is in charge of the exhibition’s opening ceremony. It is worth mentioning that the exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with REED Exhibitions, and will take place from April 1 - 3 2014 in Abu Dhabi.
The Higher Organizing Committee of the Exhibition and Conference held a meeting, chaired by Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee. The meeting took place at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi, and was attended by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations and Deputy Chairman of the Committee; Brigadier Saeed Salem Al Hanki, Chairman of the Secretariat, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Security Challenges held in conjunction with the International Security, Safety and National Resilience exhibition and conference "ISNR 2014”; as well as members of the Higher Committee; heads and members of the subcommittees; and Dr. Jaber Eidha Al Jaberi, Deputy Secretary General of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Environment, Health and Safety Center (AD EHS).
Major General Al Kutbi welcomed the attendees, thanking them for their efforts in making this event meet the Ministry of Interior’s standards and help it live up to its reputation. Furthermore, he reviewed the opening ceremony presentation. "The exhibition is one of the most important exhibitions hosted by the UAE, and one of the prominent top 5 international exhibitions,” said Major General Al Kutbi. He also said that the 2014 edition of this strategic event will be impressive in terms of the number of participants, countries, departments, presentations, as well as the number of exhibitions taking place on the sidelines.
Major General Al Kutbi urged the heads and members of the subcommittees to unite and focus their efforts, demonstrate their teamwork, promote cooperation and coordination between all of the subcommittees to achieve success to demonstrate the UAE’s leadership, and its wide and accumulated experience in organizing distinguishable exhibitions and conferences that are worthy of the country and its reputation.
During the meeting, the attendees reviewed the achievements of the subcommittees, and their latest preparations, steps and procedures taken to prepare for the exhibition and conference, which will be held from April 1 - 3 in Abu Dhabi.
For his part, Brigadier Saeed Salem Al Hanki, Chairman of the Secretariat, submitted a short presentation on the committee’s recent activities. He also highlighted the achievements made by the Scientific Committee in preparing the schedule for the International Conference on Security Challenges, and preparing the work papers and topics covered by the industry professionals and experts participating in the conference.
On the same note, Brigadier Salem Al Shamesi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services and Chairman of the Sponsorship Committee, reviewed the activities carried out by the committee, and its interaction with companies to get them to sponsor the conference on Information Security cybercrime.
Colonel Dr. Abdullah Juma, Deputy Chairman of the Finance and Procurement Committee, addressed the tasks and the work undertaken by the committee and highlighted its achievements.
Ara Fernezian, Divisional Managing Director at Reed Exhibitions in the UAE, presented an overview of the sales volume, the number of states participating in the exhibition, and its supporters. Fernezian also pointed out that 300 companies from 38 countries from around the world have already registered to participate in the exhibition.
Colonel Saif Al Shamesi, Chairman of the Activities and Shows Organizing Committee, briefed the attendees on the main achievements made by the committee, and the requirements needed to organize the presentations accompanying the exhibition.
Colonel Walid Al Ali, Chairman of the Protocol, Relations, and Hospitality Committee, reviewed the committee’s achievements, namely selecting the escort officers that will welcome the VIPS, booking hotels for guests, and providing cars to receive delegations attending the exhibition.
Lieutenant Colonel Said Al Khaja, Deputy Chairman of the Media Committee, highlighted the achievements made regarding the promotion of the exhibition and conference by advertising it in local newspapers in both Arabic and English, on social networking sites and in specialized magazines, in cooperation with Reed Exhibitions.
Lieutenant Colonel Faysal Al Shammari, Deputy Chairman of the Marketing Committee, reviewed the recent achievements made by the committee. Mohammed Al Ahmadi owner of 911 Firefighting and Safety Company presented a presentation showcasing the UAE International FireFit Championship, which will take place as part of the exhibition.
At the end of the meeting, Major General Al Kutbi praised the extensive efforts made by the subcommittees. He urged them to increase their efforts in this time leading up to the event in order to achieve excellence and host a successful exhibition and conference. He wished everyone success.
