ADP Forensic Evidence Department Discusses Cooperation with UAEU College of Law
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, January 8th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The Forensic Evidence Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs discussed academic and training cooperation with the United Arab Emirates University’s College of Law during a visit made by a university delegation to the Forensic Evidence Department.
Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Head of the Forensic Evidence Department at the Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, met the delegation at his office, which included Dr. Mohammed Hassan Ali Al Qasimi, the Dean of the College of Law, and Dr. Mohamed Shaker Al Hammadi, Assistant Dean. The attendees reviewed the mechanisms adopted by forensic evidence experts to teach forensics to students at the College of Law. Furthermore, they discussed organizing training courses in law for the accredited experts at the department. The participants also reviewed the functions of the department, its role in criminal justice, and stages of development which has enabled the department to obtain international accreditations for their laboratory work.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Ali Al Qasimi, praised the academic approach taken by Abu Dhabi Police, which has made an effort to interact with the state’s academic bodies and universities. He also praised its efforts in supporting scientific research, promoting knowledge exchange, and organizing training sessions. In conclusion, Dr. Al Qasimi commended the Forensic Evidence Department’s scientific and technical performance.
