ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, January 1st 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters recently organized a psychological program under the slogan "A Starting Point for Juveniles". The program aims at rehabilitating the juvenile delinquents, improving their behavior, and building their competencies, as part of efforts to integrate them into society.
Psychological consultant, Abdul Rahman Abdullah and psychologist Dr. Hager Al Hosani led the debate, which tackled various topics. The topics included defining the goals that positively contribute to rehabilitate juveniles, integrating them back into society after serving their time, and studying the psychological chart of juveniles collectively.
The program also seeks to harness juveniles’ mental and physical powers and abilities and channeling them properly. It also aims to introduce juveniles with the starting points to get their lives back on track at this critical period of their lives, and educate them on the proper ways to interact with community members after their release from the juvenile center.
