Where do you go to see the most innovative cars about to be launched into the GCC? The International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt/Main, September 14-24, 2017. At IAA visitors from the GCC will get to experience hands-on the most anticipated automotive launch in the region, both the BORGWARD BX5 and the BX7. One of the surprises at BORGWARD booth to attract eyeballs will be the Isabella concept car, whose inspiration comes from the original Isabella that was in production 1954 – 1961, the most successful history model of the brand to achieve sales of over 200,000 units. The 1957 Isabella Coupe was a real head-turner featuring 1.5-litre four-cylinder, 1493 cc and 4-speed manual gearbox, a symbol of the leading design fashion and drive technology. The reincarnation of the legendary Isabella embodies the new IsAbellA Concept, which is a spiritual successor and modern interpretation to the brand’s glory history. With BORGWARD’s design principle “Impression of Flow”, more beauty and amazement of IsAbellA Concept is to be revealed during IAA to impress the audiences.
The BORGWARD BX5 and BX7 SUVs are scheduled for release across the GCC in the next few months. Positioned as premier Germany manufacturing offering an “accessible premium”, the first models to the GCC are expected to upset the competition and excite GCC drivers.
As the winners of Red Dot Design Award, BX5 and BX7 embody the traditional values of BORGWARD’s pristine craftsmanship and aesthetic shapes. Noted for the familial design features – including octagonal grille and integrated headlights, as well as the special wing-line shoulder lines, whose design is inspired by the original Isabella, these two models are the sense of luxury in superb detail. The BORGWARD BX7 is an intelligent wide body connected SUV featuring exquisite exterior and masterful interior space. The 1911mm width makes it the widest among the SUVs of same level. BX7’s high quality benefits from the all-new BSP (BORGWARD Sustainable Platform) and world-class partners including Bosch, ZF, FEV and IHI. The i-AWD, which is the latest intelligent AWD technology, also contributes to BX7’s stability to swiftly switch between five driving modes, even in extreme conditions.
BORGWARD’s connected compact SUV, BX5, which is an ideal choice for those who pursue fashion and affordable luxury, has a unique visual design being real, dynamic, elegant, precise and aesthetic, which has already attracted critical attention.
“Y E S” can be summarized as the main attractive points of BX5, which stands for Y.oung, E.nergetic and S.mart. While the dynamic design features add to BX5’s fashion and style, the equipments like 1.8T turbocharged direct injection engine and Aisin 6-speed AMT also guarantee its reliable German performance with greater stability and comfort. And the intelligent connectivity of BX5 also improves driving fun and safety, by enabling the driver to interact with the vehicle with eyes, hands and voice.
The other BORGWARD models to be exhibited at IAA include BX7 TS – the sporty version and BXi7 – the electric version. Typical TS regalia include elements like the diamond-shaped chrome insignias, light alloy wheels, bumpers, sill trim and brushed aluminium. And it’s also exceptionally sporty in its spacious interior.
